Exposed Acne Solution system helps prevent acne with benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid a handful of other natural ingredients. While Exposed claims to be the answer to all of your acne problems will it help remove unsightly acne scars?

Active Ingredients

  • Benzoyl Peroxide tends to cause dryness and irritation, but after a week your skin will adjust and become more tolerant. If you have sensitive skin you may experience burning, itching, swelling and may even peel.  Benzoyl peroxide main function as an anti-acne treatment is it's ability to reduce bacteria and as an antimicrobial (meaning it kills or stops the growth of microorganisms like bacteria, fungus, etc..)
  • AHA Complex helps to prevent clogged pores and enhance cell renewal
  • BHA Complex, or salicylic acid, helps exfoliate  pores and shed skin cells to prevent clogged pores and breakouts.
  • Azelaic Acid kills acne causing bacteria and reduces inflammation. It also help to lighten dark acne scars
  • Hyaluronic Acid penetrates deep into the skin to restore volume and smooth out scars, wrinkles and creases.
  • Tea Tree Oil helps reverse old acne scars and prevent new ones from forming
  • Olive Leaf Extract removes toxins from your liver and kills acne causing bacteria
  • Green Tea contains numerous anti inflammatories which helps reduce acne scars and heals them. The antioxidants in green tea contribute to the healing of acne scars as well.
  • Jojoba is effective in dissolving oil in clogged pores and restoring the skin to it's natural pH balance.  Jojoba oil is a natural moisturizer that can kill numerous types of bacteria.
  • Licorice possesses anti-inflammatory properties and helps lighten the appearance of acne scars.

Effectiveness

The problem with products that contain benzoyl peroxide is that your results are temporary, and your results come at a pretty hefty price. benzoyl peroxide may temporarily heal your acne but your skin will be dry, red and flaky. Forget wearing makeup to cover up your redness. Makeup+ flaky skin is not a good look for anyone! Once you discontinue using benzoyl peroxide your acne will indeed come back.
If you insist on falling for the hype surrounding benzoyl peroxide be very careful, it is a chemical. Benzoyl peroxide can bleach your eyebrows, hair, towels and clothing- even after you have washed your hands and face. Benzoyl peroxide is a category 3 product which means the FDA categorizes it as "Safety is uncertain", this may be due to the report that benzoyl peroxide promotes tumor growth in mice. If you are concerned about your aging skin, which everyone should be, limit your sun exposure because benzoyl peroxide makes your skin more susceptible to sun damage and generates free radicals which cause premature aging of the skin.
Can you tell I am not a huge fan of benzoyl peroxide? I do appreciate the effort of Exposed skin care to add natural ingredients but clearly this acne removal system relies solely on benzoyl peroxide to get the job done. The other "active ingredients" are great but there is very little of them in Exposed Skin Care to make them effective in any way.

Conclusion

AcneScarRemoval.org does not recommend using Exposed Skin Care as an acne scar removal or an acne treatment. If you are too are not convinced of the effectiveness of this product be sure to check out the Top Rated Acne Scar Removals below.
